MORGANTOWN — Lillian Kooser pitched a complete game while going 3-for-4 at the plate with three RBIs as Morgantown High routed Preston, 22-2, on Monday.
The Mohigans (15-5) jumped out to a huge lead in the second inning, scoring 13 runs, and were up 18-0 after three innings.
Kooser got the win, allowing one earned run on just three hits.
Breonna Marietta and Brianna McKenzie finished 4-for-5 at the plate and each brought in eight RBIs. Marietta had a double and a triple. Alexandria Watson finished 4-for-4 with two RBIs. Ava Anderson finished 2-for-5, Grace Haines finished 2-for-3 with a double and Emma Phares finished 1-for-4 with two RBIs.
Preston committed five errors in just five innings of play.
