KINGWOOD — West Virginia State Police have charged a Pennsylvania man with14 felonies after they say they found forged driver’s licenses from other states in his car.
Ray Roberto Carrion-Susana, 35, of Wilkes Barre, is charged with seven counts of forging a public record and seven counts of forgery of official seals. He was in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail Monday in lieu of $35,000 bond.
According to a criminal complaint by Trooper C.E. Smith, about 9:30 p.m. Saturday he stopped a car in Terra Alta for an alleged traffic violation. Carrion-Susana produced a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
When Carrion-Susana reached under the seat, the trooper opened the door to be sure he was not reaching for a gun, and an Oregon driver’s license fell out. It bore Carrion-Susana’s photo and the name Eric E. Rios. The officer saw two other driver’s licenses on the floor.
All told seven licenses were found from different states. Two came back as valid with different names. Two were “not on file.” All bore Carrion-Susana’s photo and a different name. The trooper also found six debit cards with a name matching that on a fraudulent driver’s license.
