MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Despite being in a 3-3 tie after the first inning, the University High baseball allowed 10 unanswered runs in five innings of play in a 13-3 loss to St. Albans on Monday.
Casey Smith got the loss for the Hawks (5-11), allowing the first four runs in four innings pitched. University gave up nine runs in the fifth inning as Kevin Smith and Evan Smith really struggled on the mound.
Hunter Cottrell collected two hits.
