SB 313, the governor’s Advanced Career Education program and WV Invests Grant Program bill to provide last-dollar funding to ensure free community and technical college education.
SB 314, from the governor, to authorize the establishment of a cybersecurity framework for state agencies, to be developed and administered by the chief information security officer within the Office of Technology.
HB 2006, another bill to make the Municipal Home Rule Pilot Program permanent. Delegate Amy Summers, R-Taylor, co-sponsor.
HB 2008, to provide that when no candidate receives a majority of votes cast in the nonpartisan election of Supreme Court justices, a runoff election is to be held within 30 days.
HB 2415, from the governor, to require the State Board of Education to adopt a policy detailing the appropriate level of computer science instruction available to students. Same as SB 267.
HB 2420, To create the Mountaineer Trail Network Recreation Authority, to establish a new mountain biking trail network in Mon County. Summers, lead sponsor; Delegates Mike Caputo, D-Marion, Dave Pethtel, D-Wetzel, Rodney Pyles, D-Monongalia, co-sponsors. Same as SB 132.
HB 2426, to allow local authorities to decrease the speed limits on streets and highways where school buses travel. Caputo, lead sponsor; Pyles, Delegates Linda Longstreth, Michael Angelucci, both D-Marion, co-sponsors.
