MORGANTOWN — AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Carl Erickson said the Morgantown area is expected to get enough snow to make things slippery tomorrow morning, but that should be about it.
According to Erickson, Morgantown will likely see a dusting of snow, but could potentially get as much as an inch.
“The best chance for an inch or more will be off to the east in the mountains and higher terrain,” Erickson said.
Slippery conditions Tuesday morning resulted in a number of minor crashes according to MECCA 911 Director Jimmy Smith. Smith said 18 accidents were reported between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Either way, Nov. 28 is expected to be cold. Temperatures should top out around 30 degrees with a steady wind that could make things feel like single digits, particularly this morning.
Erickson said the wind will die down Thursday and the cold is expected to ease into the lower 40s.
Things will continue to warm up Friday as temperatures near 50 degrees, but the warmer weather looks like it will bring rain along with it.
“Saturday it looks like more of a soaking rain will be in the area,” Erickson said, noting things should continue to warm up through Sunday, which is expected to near the 60-degree mark.
