CONWAY, S.C. — The Mountaineers will play in the Cancun Challenge next season, in a field that includes Wichita State, South Carolina and Northern Iowa.
The two-game tournament will feature two non-bracketed games in Morgantown against smaller Division I competition, before the team travels to the Challenge, which is played in the ball room of the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya Convention Center.
WVU last played in Cancun in 2013, falling to Wisconsin in the championship game.
