Edward Sazenski

Edward James “Pappy” Sazenski, 72, of Reedsville, passed away unexpectedly at his home, on Friday, November 9, 2018.
Born on February 17, 1946, in Morgantown, a son of the late Edward John Sazenski and Emma Betty Hendershot. Jimmy joined the army in 1964, he received the Purple Heart for Service in Vietnam. He retired from Patriot Mining Company where he operated heavy equipment.
He is survived by his sister, Janice (Sazenski) Benson and spouse James S., of Morgantown; much-loved nieces and nephews, Lynette, Brian, and Zackery Bartlett, of Powhatan Va.; Toby, Jack, and Rheannon Foster, of Kingwood; Jenna Smith, of Morgantown; Jamie, Chad, Hadyn and Ava Snider, of Bruceton Mills; Makara, Jason, and Brenden Hedrick, of Morgantown; and Andrew Benson, of Morgantown.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas C. Sazenski and sister, Linda S. Batson.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held  at Morgan Funeral Home, in Reedsville, from 2 – 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17,  with an opportunity to share memories at 3 p.m. Graveside services will immediately follow at Arthurdale Cemetery, where full military honors will be accorded by the Honor Details from: West Virginia Army National Guard, Preston County VFWs, and the Vietnam Veterans of America chapter 977.
