Dorothy Kay Summers, 70, of Albright (Coal Lick Road), passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Preston Memorial Hospital in Kingwood, surrounded by her loving family.
The daughter of the late Hugh and Bertha “Berthie” Wilhelm Kelly, she was born August 18, 1948, in Lenox.
Kay attended Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. She had been employed at the sewing factory, in Terra Alta, and was a wife, mother, and grandmother to the Summers’ family.
She is survived by her son and his wife, Randy and Chantay Summers, of Albright; three sisters, Patty Summers, Jean Lila Reckart and her husband, Delbert, and Wilma Dalton; brother,Bobby Wilhelm; and five grandchildren, R.J., T.J., and “Pig” Summers and Catharine and Robert Lawson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bradley Gene Summers, April 26, 2017; a daughter-in-law, Heidi Summers; brother-in-law, Paul Summers; sister-in-law, Janet Summers; and brother-in-law, Kenny Dalton.
Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral home, in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, from 2-4 p.m. and 6 -8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, and from 11 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, until the 1 p.m. service with Pastor Allen Donham officiating. Burial will follow in the Lenox (Lutheran) Cemetery, in Albright (Lenox).
