Betty Carolyn Lenhart, 94, of Morgantown passed away on Oct. 1, 2018. Betty was born in Pittsburgh, the youngest daughter of Howard William and Wilhelmina (Von Widmann) Steinbaugh.
Betty graduated from Morgantown High School and worked at Whiteside’s and Woolworth’s, in downtown Morgantown, before becoming a loving mother, housewife, and Cub Scout den mother. She attended Wesley Methodist Church.
Betty greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, baking cookies, watching Bob Barker, the Young and the Restless, and Johnny Carson every day. Perry Como was a favorite, too.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Robert W. Lenhart; three children, Steve Lenhart and wife Debby, of Troy, Ohio, Diane C. Lenhart, of Morgantown, Susanne L. Beeman and husband Alvin, of Oakland, Md.; two grandchildren, Brian Lenhart and wife Michele, of Kenosha, Wis. and Karrie Helton and husband Pastor David Helton, of Oakland, Md.; four great-grandchildren, Emma Grace, Claire Faith, Aiden Tate, and Sophia Joy Helton.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her two sisters, Pauline Ream and Wilma Halbert.
Betty will be laid to rest at the West Virginia National Cemetery, where a private graveside service will be held.
