David Allen Turner, 63, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Katy, Texas, after a 17-year battle with brain cancer.
He was born on July 16, 1955, in Frankfort, Germany, to Joan Cochrane Turner and J. Preston Turner.
He graduated from St. Francis High School in 1973, and continued on to WVU graduating in 1977, with a degree in Mining Engineering.
He is survived by his loving wife, Vivian (Houk) Turner; sons J.D., Chris, Jason; one daughter, Jenna Turner Robinson (Eric); three grandchildren, his special joys, Kayden, Cooper and Kellyn; and two sisters, Pam Turner Sawczyszyn and Maribeth Turner Schwartz (Jeffery) are left to grieve.
He was preceded by his brother, Daniel Turner; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
A memorial service will be held at The Holy Covenant United Methodist Church, in Katy, Texas, at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 5.
