MORGANTOWN — A Dellslow woman will spend a year in federal prison for her role in an illegal firearms operation.
Margaret Parker, of Dellslow, was sentenced Tuesday, U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of West Virginia Bill Powell announced.
The 33-year-old pleaded guilty to conspiracy to violate federal firearms laws in June, a press release stated.
She said she was involved in a conspiracy where she lied to purchase firearms and traded those weapons for controlled substances in Morgantown and other parts of Monongalia County from May to June 2017, the release stated.
The conspiracy also involved taking the guns to New York and selling them, according to the statement.
