Eileen Johnson

Eileen Alta Johnson,     86, of Terra Alta, died Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at home surrounded by family.
The daughter of the late Daniel B. and Ethel Daisey Lee Layton, she was born September 15, 1931, in Rodamer Community.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.
She is survived by two sons, David Lynn Johnson, of Sistersville, and Terry Allen Johnson, of Glen Burnie, Md.; two brothers, Joseph Layton, of Terra Alta and Col. Ronald Layton, of Dulles, Va.; three sisters, Pauline Wilson, of Deer Park, Md., Wanda Hardesty, of Terra Alta and Teresa Feather, of Culpepper, Va.; six grandchildren, David Lynn Johnson, Jr., Kelly Dawn Friend, Samantha Sue Graham, Michael Aljajandro, Joseph Randall Heath, Jr., and Gabriella Johnson; six great-grandchildren, Gavin, Colton, Skye, Austin, Hunter and Ava.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Johnson in 2001; one daughter, Donna Sue Heath; two sisters, Dorlene Teets and Linda Lantz; three brothers, Ercil, Donald and Jerry Layton; one granddaughter and one grandson, Christopher Johnson.
Family and friends will be received at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home, in Terra Alta, from 5 – 8 p.m.  on Friday, September 7,   and from noon on Saturday, September 8,  until the 1 p.m. service with the Rev. Eric Beeman officiating.  Burial will follow in the Terra Alta Cemetery.
