Fort hosts presentation of a slave’s life from Aug. 10-14

MORGANTOWN — Sheila Arnold will present a first-person interpretation of an African American slave using Prickett’s Fort as the backdrop, beginning at
10 a.m. Aug. 10-14. Also, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 14, interpreter Cordelia Spencer will present a hearth-cooking demonstration on African foods during the 18th century. Regular admission applies.
Prickett’s Fort State Park is 2 miles off Interstate 79 at Exit 139, 88 State Park Road Fairmont.
