MORGANTOWN — Savannah Gadd was named the 2018 Miss Clay District Fair Queen.
The announcement was made by directors of the Clay District Fair Association. The board announced winners and runners-up in all categories.
A total of 26 girls competed in five classes: Miss Clay District Fair (ages 16 to 21), Miss Teen Clay District Fair (ages 13 to 15), Junior Miss Clay District Fair (ages 9 to 12), Little Miss Clay District Fair (ages 5 to 8), and Tiny Miss Clay District Fair (ages 3 to 4).
Winners were crowned during the fair held last week.

The pageants were open to girls who either reside in Clay District or attend Clay-Battelle or Mason-Dixon schools. Carla Brewer of Daybrook, is the pageant director.
The Fair has been held annually in Daybrook since 1936, with only a brief hiatus for World War II. More than 2,300 fairgoers visited the fair over the five nights, which included live entertainment and rides provided by Gambill Amusements.
