Clay District Fair set for Tuesday-Saturday in Daybrook

MORGANTOWN — The 2018 Clay District Fair’s theme is Making New Tracks. The fair will be held Tuesday-Saturday in Daybrook.
Admission is $8 for guests ages 4 and over and is all-inclusive. Ages 3 and under are free, but passes must be purchased to ride.
Each adult pass will include one entry for a daily drawing. Each child pass will include one entry for a weekly drawing for either a girl’s bike or a boy’s bike. All times in the schedule are tentative and subject to change.
Tuesday
9 a.m.-1 p.m. — registration of inside exhibits
3-6 p.m. — judging of inside exhibits
6 p.m. — parade lineup — Methodist Church, Yost & Yost Pipe Yard, and Daybrooke Development
6:30 p.m. — parade
7:30 p.m. — official opening of the 2018 Clay District Fair, introduction of queen contestants, visiting royalty and dignitaries; and parade winners announced
8 p.m. — Josh Oldaker and nightly drawings.
Wednesday
5:30 p.m. — judging outside exhibits
6-6:30 p.m. — Miss CDF 2018 streetwear competion
7 p.m. — Miss CDF 2018 promotions
7:30 p.m. — Crowning of Miss Teen CDF 2018
8 p.m. — Miss CDF 2018 evening gown competion, crowning Miss CDF 2018
9-10:15 p.m. — Shane Masters Acoustic show and nightly drawings
Thursday
4 p.m.-? — creamed chicken dinner hosted by Faith Filled Women of union Baptist Church. Menu is creamed chickem/biscuit, mashed potatoes, green beans, cole slaw, dessert and drinks. Cost is $8.
5:30 p.m. — registration for pet show
6:30-7:30 p.m. — pet show
8-11 p.m. — The 501 Band and daily drawings
Friday
4 p.m.-? — Baked steak dinner hosted by Clay District Fair Association. Menu is baked steak, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, cole slaw, rolls, dessert and drinks. Cost is $10 for adults, $6 for children under 12.
6 p.m. — Tiny Miss CDF 2018 coronation
6:30 p.m. — Little Miss CDF 2018 coronation
7 p.m. — Junior Miss CDF 2018 coronation
8:30-10:30 p.m. — Ryan Cain & the Ables and daily drawings
Saturday
4 p.m. — gates open- bingo opens
5 p.m. — children’s games and rides open, baby show registration
5-9 p.m. — Miss Tea Cup face painting
6 p.m. — baby show
7:30 p.m. — Charles Wesley Godwin
8:45-10 p.m. — The Hillbilly Way, daily drawings and auction.
