MORGANTOWN — Two former WVU Mountaineers collected more fouls than points July 5, in their NBA Summer League game.
Daxter Miles Jr. and Devin Williams both saw time in their Sacramento Kings’ 86-76 loss to the Miami Heat.
Miles played 11 minutes and scored four points. He was 1-for-3 from the field (1-for-2 from 3-point range) and made 1 of 2 free throws. He had two rebounds, three assists and a steal.
But Miles also drew three fouls in his short time on the court.
Williams was even more foul-prone, drawing four in his 12 minutes of action.
He was 0-for-1 from the field but made both of his free throws for two points. He added four rebounds and blocked a shot.
Meanwhile, point guard Jevon Carter scored eight points and snagged four rebounds in his Memphis Grizzlies’ 94-87 loss to San Antonio.
Carter also had four fouls in 24 minutes. He went 4-for-9 from the field (0-for-2 on treys), with three assists and a blocked shot.
