WVU Community Music Program now holding summer enrollment
The WVU Community Music Program summer enrollment is now underway, in piano, violin, guitar or lessons in virtually any instrument or voice.
Develop your artistic expression and musical skills. Registration is underway for group classes, private instruction and participation in several large ensembles. Open to all ages and abilities.
Road closure on Ragtown Road continues through the week
The West Virginia Division of Highways advises motorists of a road closure on County Route 16, Ragtown Road at MP 0.36, through Friday; and again on Monday, June 11 through Friday, June 15. The hours the road will be closed each day will be from 7 a.m.-4 p.m.
Tri-State SHRM workshop RSVP deadline is June 15
Tri-State SHRM, the Society for Human Resources Management, will host a workshop from noon-2 p.m. Thursday, June 21, at Shoney’s Restaurant, 9 Sterling Drive, Morgantown.
Maria Mancini, director of Leadership and Organizational Development at West Virginia University will discuss “Why The First Year Experience Matters.”
The cost is $20 for Fayette Chamber Members and Tri-State SHRM members, or $30 for non-members, and $5 for students, which includes lunch, the workshop and networking. Registration is due by June 15.

Fairmont State Alumni Association arranged trip to PNC Park
The Fairmont State Alumni Association arranged for a trip to PNC Park on Saturday, June 23.
Guests will ride a charter bus from the Erickson Alumni Center at noon, which will drop attendees off outside of the stadium prior to game time. Game time is set for 4:05 p.m. The bus will return to the EAC at the end of the game. The Pittsburgh Pirates are set the play the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Seats will be under the scoreboard in sections 337 and 338. Guests will be served an all-inclusive meal at 4:30 p.m.
