Making news about our history important to all

Dick Walters, Monongalia Historical Society, Morgantown
I was pleased to see the excellent coverage in Monday’s edition of The Dominion Post of the Easton Roller Mill tours held Sunday.
The publicity that your paper has provided with such articles and the Thursday announcements of Morgantown events are the major ways the Monongalia Historical Society informs the public of the free guided tours.
The five tour dates, the fourth Sundays of May through September, hours 2 to 5 p.m., result in about 200 annual visitors to this historic and operational mill, built in 1867. Detailed information about the mill, tours and Historical Society events can be found on its website: monongaliahistoricalsociety.org.
The non-profit society is funded with member dues, contributions and grants from local foundations and the Monongalia County Commission, allowing regional information about the area’s history to be more readily available to the public. Thanks for your help.
