Margaret “Margie” Lee Phillips, 88, of Good Hope, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018, at her residence with family by her side. She was born June 27, 1929, in Gladesville, the daughter of the late James Walter and Pearl (Rogers) Trickett.
Margaret is survived by her three daughters; Marilyn Morgan, of Good Hope, Ann Phillips, of Clarksburg, and Amy Howell and husband Scott, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Michelle Allman, Thomas Morgan II, Rebecca Chipps, Brian Chipps and wife, Christina, all of Clarksburg, John Chipps, of Stonewood, Holly O’Neil and husband, Eric, of Tilton, N.H., and James Howell and Emily Howell of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Phillips on Oct 29, 2011; two daughters, Janet Lynch and Margaret Peggy Chipps; four brothers, Charles Trickett, Dave Trickett, Bob Trickett and Ralph Trickett; two sisters, Alberta Lyons and Hazel Sobol; son-in-law, Thomas Morgan; and one great granddaughter.
Margaret was the last surviving member of her family. She enjoyed antiquing, sewing, embroidering and reading. She loved to go camping and traveling through Gatlinburg and Myrtle Beach with her husband before he passed.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, in Clarksburg, from 1-7 p.m., on Sunday, April 22. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home at 11 a.m., on Monday, April 23, with the Reverend H. Scott Howell presiding. Interment will follow at Gladesville Cemetery, in Preston County.
