David E. Flynn, 60, of Morgantown, passed away Monday, April 16, 2018, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.
He was born Dec. 21, 1957, in Norfolk, Va., a son of Gladys Luriela (Flaherty) Flynn and the late Robert Jefferson Flynn.
David was an active member of Faith Baptist Church. At the church, he was a Sunday school teacher, who enjoyed working with kids and was also an AWANA leader. He was the director of Ambulatory Pharmacy Services for 16 years at WVU Medicine. He was very active in the Morgantown community and served as chair of the Board at Healthright and was vice president of the Mon County Transit. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, going on beach trips and riding his Harley.
He is survived by his wife, Janet (Napiecek) Flynn; children, Christopher, Daniel, Gregory and Caroline Flynn; sister, Lori Lamb and her husband, Jerry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Flynn.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, in Morgantown, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Friday. Visitation will continue at Faith Baptist Church, in Morgantown, from 10 a.m., Saturday, April 21, until the 11 a.m. funeral service with Pastors Treg Spicer and Bennie Moran officiating. A committal service will take place at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, in Pittsburgh, at 11 a.m., on Monday, April 23. Entombment will follow at the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
