MORGANTOWN — A Granville woman who passed out in a fast-food restaurant bathroom with a seven-year-old child in her custody now faces a felony charge, according to court records.
The Granville Police Department charged Elizabeth Ann Zinn with child neglect creating the risk of injury. She was arraigned in Monongalia County Magistrate Court on Feb. 2, with bail set at $25,000.
According to a criminal complaint: Firefighters found Zinn unconscious in a bathroom of the Granville Wendy’s. They also found a white substance that Zinn said was either heroin or Subutex. A 7-year-old boy was in Zinn’s custody. Zinn left him alone for at least for 20 minutes until an employee found Zinn in the bathroom.
