Girls’ basketball: Lincoln 57, Preston 44

SHINNSTON — For the second night in a row, the Knights struggled to make shots in the paint, losing to Lincoln, 57-44, on Jan. 31.

“We got the shots we wanted, but we couldn’t get them to fall,” head coach Brian Miller said. “They actually made more free throws than we attempted, which is what we usually do, so the script was kind of flipped on us.”

Kirsten Brown and Makenzie Friend each had 13 points for PHS. Lincoln was led by Brynne Williams, with 15 points.

The Knights (10-7) will host Robert C. Byrd at
7:30 p.m. Feb. 1.
