MORGANTOWN — The WVU Board of Governors OK’d several new rules during its Jan. 24 meeting.
The board held a special meeting to discuss a couple of issues. It also held an emergency meeting as part of the special meeting, but that was mostly in executive (closed) session to discuss legislative issues.
During the special meeting, the BOG approved several rules — i.e., policies – that were released for public comment in October. The rules deal with a range of university topics and were the result of legislative changes giving WVU more autonomy from the Higher Education Policy Commission.
The rules included repealing old version including policies related to sexual harassment, WVU administration and emeritus status.
None of the changes in the new rules are substantive from their old, policy counterparts.
