MORGANTOWN — WVU hosts Marshall at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 6 and the annual alumni game at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 7, at Monongalia County Ballpark.
Admission is free.
The Mountaineers and Thundering Herd met twice in 2017, with WVU winning both games, 14-7 and 8-4.
WVU is 45-24 all-time against Marshall and has won 15 of the last 18 regular-season meetings.
A large number of former players are expected back for the Oct. 7 alumni game, including three who played professionally this summer: Jackson Cramer (Washington Nationals), Kyle Davis (Houston Astros) and Jackson Sigman (Kansas City Royals).
The Mountaineers’ fall slate continues with a home noon game, against Bucknell, on Oct. 15. Delaware State visits at 3 p.m., on Oct. 21, for the fall finale.
