KINGWOOD — With the possible exception of filings mailed before midnight Jan. 27, the list of candidates for the May primary is final.
Midnight Saturday was the deadline to file for the primary, and Jan. 26 saw a flurry of filings in Preston County. In addition to national, state and county offices, two towns, Bruceton Mills and Rowlesburg, will also be on the ballot.
There are two unexpired terms on the ballot, and both offices will only be on the primary ballot. Voters will also select people to finish out the unexpired terms of Circuit Judge Lawrance Miller Jr. and Magistrate Lew Ault, both of whom retired.
Judicial races are nonpartisan, as are board of education races.
