Shirley Ann Wolfe

Shirley Ann Wolfe, 77, of Reedsville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, March 1, 2025, in her home, with family by her side.
She was born March 18, 1947, in Turner Douglas, a daughter of the late Arthur Franklin Powell and Susie Mable Murphy Powell.
Shirley was a loving wife, mother, Nanny, and friend. She was kind, compassionate, sweet, an independent woman, and the most caring lady. She loved everyone; her family, especially her grandchildren, and friends, meant everything to her. Her life is a testimony that saved lives and inspired many.
Shirley worked for the Terra Alta Sewing Factory as a seamstress. She did beautiful seam work and was very talented.
Shirley was a devout Christian and member of the Kanes Creek United Methodist Church and was a part of the lady’s group.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Robert Wolfe, Sr.; son, Bobby Wolfe; daughter, Kelly Fountain and husband Jack, Dorinda Summers and husband Rodney, Amy Kelly and husband Cliff; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Rodeheaver; brothers, Gary Powell and wife Lin, Bob Powell and wife Pat, Tom Powell and wife Donna, Joe Powell and wife Kim; and many nieces and nephews, whom she thought of as her own children.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Lewis.
The family would like to extend a thank you and give recognition to her very special granddaughters, Kayla Parsons and Chelsea Kelly for the wonderful care they gave to their Nanny until the end.
Friends may call at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home in Terra Alta, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, March 7, where a funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m., with Pastor Teresa Prince officiating. Interment will be held at the Terra Alta Cemetery.
