It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rose M. Close in Fort Myers, Fla. on Friday, January 3, 2025.
She was born in Masontown, Pa on August 23, 1936 a daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Chrin.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Paul Close in May of 2024 and three siblings, Michael Chrin, Anna Spenik, and Margaret Dubrawski.
Rose was a remarkable lady with a robust Catholic faith that guided her throughout her life. Spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her great joy. She was always there when her family and friends needed her the most offering support, wisdom and love in abundance.
Rose is survived by her two loving children, Carolyn Baker (Clarence) of North Fort Myers, Fla. and Larry Close (Lorinda) of Fort Myers, Fla.; one sister Delores Liptock; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, January 10, 2025 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, Florida. A funeral service will be celebrated 11 a.m., Friday, January 10, 2025 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow where Rose will be placed with her husband, Paul.
Rose’s loving spirit will be deeply missed, but her memory and the impact she had on her family and friends will forever remain in their hearts.
