Ronald W. Wade, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and respected businessman, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 21, 2024, in Morgantown, at the age of 88. Born October 9, 1936, in Wadestown, Ronald’s journey through life was marked by his unwavering kindness and commitment to his community.
Ronald proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps before returning to his roots to make a mark in the agricultural industry. He was the proud owner of Wade’s Meat Processing. His dedication to service extended to his involvement with the Moose Lodge and the Elks Lodge in younger years, where he worked alongside fellow members to better the community.
Ronald’s strong faith was reflected in his membership and attendance at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church.
Ronald’s loving presence will be profoundly missed by his family, including his wife of 62 years, Maxine Ackerman Wade; his daughters, Melanie Bean (David) of Granville, Rhonda Wade Miller (Tim) of Morgantown; and his grandson, Dylan Wade Bean of Granville.
