Louise Emma Denkenberger

Louise Emma Denkenberger, 95, of Kingwood, peacefully passed away Friday, December 20, 2024, in New Horizon Senior Living Center in Kingwood.
She was born October 4, 1929, in Baltimore, Md., a daughter of the late Herman A. and Emma LaFevre Maas.
Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a member of the Kanes Creek United Methodist Church and was a devoted member to its women’s group. Louise was the last living member of 13 children. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her four children: Mike Denkenberger and wife Peggy of Kingwood; Luanne Meyer and husband Jack of Burlington, Ky.; Susan Shaver and husband Jim of Reedsville; and Sharon Moran of Masontown; two grandchildren, Steven Shillingburg and wife Kitty, and James M. Shaver; three great- grandchildren, Abigail and husband Daniel Harsh, Eugene Shillingburg, and Emily Shillingburg; and her stepgranddaughter, Stacy (Jordan) Feather.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herbert M. Denkenberger; and numerous family members.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, December 22, at the Wesley Chapel Long Hollow Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. David Spence officiating.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Camille Western, Amedisys Hospice and New Horizon Senior Living Center for nine years of tender loving care.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations, in Louise’s memory, to the WV Alzheimer’s Association, 1601 2nd Avenue, Charleston, WV 25387; or a charity of one’s choice.
