Judith Ann Franklin, 74, of Morgantown, passed away Friday, December 13, 2024. Born June 6, 1950, she was a daughter of the late James and Audra Shreve Daft.
Judy was a hair stylist by trade, and most recently worked at Sheetz serving coffee to the community.
Judy was a person of warmth and compassion. Her vibrant personality shone through in every interaction, whether she was styling hair or serving coffee, she had a special talent for making everyone feel welcome and cherished.
Her love for her family was boundless, and she found immense joy in her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her beloved pets.
Judy had a special place in her heart for the flowers she lovingly planted and tended around her home, finding peace and joy nurturing them. Her love extended beyond her garden to her beloved animals, who were constant companions and brought her comfort and joy throughout her life.
She is survived by her husband, Lane Franklin; three daughters: Julie Gaines (Adam) of Frederick, Md.; Heidi Russack (Michael) of Park Ridge, Ill.; Candace McClure of Blacksville; a son, Eric Franklin and wife Nicole of Westover; five grandchildren: Evan, Jared and Noelle Gaines of Frederick; and Emily and Alexander Russack of Park Ridge; her great-niece Kelsey Stackpole of Morgantown; her brother, Bill Daft of Morgantown; and her sister, Rosemary Daft of Box Elder, S.D. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends will gather from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, in the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home, 10 S. High Street, Morgantown, with the Rev. Kevin Cain officiating the service. Entombment will follow at Beverly Hills Mausoleum.
