Michael Allen “Mike” Davies, 72, of Morgantown, passed away Friday, November 15, 2024, in his residence.
He was born May 11, 1952, in Morgantown, a son of the late Donald Charles and Mary Ann Netro Davies.
Mike is survived by his two children, Michael P. Davies of Morgantown, and Melissa Ann Davies and her companion, Tim of Wytheville, Va.; his siblings, Paul F. Davies, Diana M. Moore, Theresa A. Cale and Annie L. Davies, all of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews.
Mike enjoyed being in the outdoors – particularly hunting and fishing.
He was a coal miner at Blacksville #1 Mine until the mine closed in the early 1990s. He also worked as a gunsmith for a period of time, and at Buck’s Corner Pub in Morgantown for many years.
Friends may join the family to honor Mike’s life and legacy from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, in Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, 108 Holland Avenue, Westover, where visitation continues from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, November 21, when Catholic Funeral Rites will be accorded by Father Walter Jagela. Interment will follow in Eden Church Cemetery.
