Phyllis Harvey

Phyllis A. Harvey, 85, passed away unexpectedly in Maine on August 25, 2024.  

She was born in Phoenixville, Pa. She is the daughter of Arthur L. and Violet (Daniels) Koffroth. She was a graduate of Phoenixville High School in the class of 1957.  

Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Arthur Koffroth Jr. (Butch); an infant son; and two grandsons. Phyllis is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Harvey.  

Surviving are her sons, Robert A. Davies (Sherrie), of Maine, Monty (Terri) Davies, of Florida; Willard (Norma) Davies, of Ohio, and William (Jeannie) Davies, of Ohio; her daughters, Willadette (Frank) Degrazia, of Texas, and Willis (Richard) Anderson, of West Virginia; along with 20 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; five great-great -grandchildren; and numerous extended family members.  

Phyllis was active with the Morgantown Shriners from her initiation in 1989 until recently as the Past High Priestess of ISIS Court #1 LOSNA. Phyllis was a member of the Ladies of Oriental, Eastern Star and the Daffy Dolls. She took great pride in her service to these groups and loved the Shriner’s children.  

Phyllis was a long-time member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Morgantown. She also belonged to the Alafia River Rendezvous Living History Encampment in Florida. Phyllis loved to travel and enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends. She adored her grandchildren. Phyllis will be sadly missed by all whom loved her.  

Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3. At the beginning of the visitation, the Ladies of the Shrine and the Eastern Star will perform ritualistic services. Visitation will continue at the funeral home from 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4, until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Martha Ognibene officiating. Interment will follow at the Olive Cemetery.  

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
