PLEASANT VALLEY, — A single engine aircraft crash landed at the Fairmont-Marion County Airport Friday afternoon injuring the pilot and passenger.
Reports indicate a small aircraft with two aboard overshot the runway and went into some trees and down an embankment at 3:16 p.m. Frist responders had to use ropes and a patient basket to get the patients to a point they could be evacuated from.
Both were transported to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment.
No information about medical conditions has been released.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is conducting the investigation.
