WVU Medicine Children’s and WVRC Media are once again partnering for the Cares for Kids Radiothon to benefit patients and families in need.
On Thursday and Friday, radio stations will broadcast live in the Hostetler Family Resource Center, located on the 10th floor of WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital.
“We’re excited to continue our partnership with WVRC Media. Listeners will meet some of our dedicated providers, but most importantly, we will tell the stories of our miracle patients,” Amy L. Bush, chief administrative officer of WVU Medicine Children’s, said. “The radiothon is a powerful tool to raise the critical funds needed to help the kids and expectant mothers in our community.”
Patients and families will share their inspiring stories with listeners. WVU Medicine Children’s healthcare providers will also visit to share what makes this life-saving care being offered in West Virginia so important to the local communities and how listeners at home can be part of building a legacy of world-class healthcare.

Making a child’s visit or stay in the hospital a better experience is a great cause and one that we are proud to assist with.”
Last year, the radiothon raised $118,903 to benefit the patients and families of WVU Medicine Children’s. Those donations funded the hospital’s greatest needs while also providing comfort to families when they need it most.
This year, 30 radio stations will broadcast from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. in markets across the region, including Morgantown, Charleston, Beckley, Fairmont, Elkins, Martinsburg, Keyser and Clarksburg.
