Elizabeth Lowdermilk

Elizabeth Ann (Manko) Lowdermilk, 89, of Masontown, W.Va., passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 8, 2024.  

She was born in Kingwood on June 15, 1935, a daughter of the late John Paul and Hester Marie (Gribble) Manko.  

Elizabeth was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a graduate of Kingwood High School Class of 1953. Elizabeth was a past member of the Masontown Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to crochet and camp at Mileson’s Campground. Elizabeth attended KAC Ministries and was an active sports grandmother.  

Elizabeth is survived by the love of her life and husband of 68 years, Wade “Buck” Bernard Lowdermilk Sr.; three daughters, Carolyn Whittaker and husband, Mark, Diana “Bush” Lowdermilk and Margie Lowdermilk; seven grandchildren, Harley Wiley, Elizabeth Miller, Stephanie Poland, Jennifer Whittaker, Heather Whittaker, Kattie Donahue and Michael Lowdermilk; 20 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ralph Manko and his wife, Bertha.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Wade “Bucky” Lowdermilk Jr. and three brothers, Lewis Manko, June Manko and Glen Manko.  

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, W.Va. on Sunday, Aug. 11, from 2-6 p.m. and from noon on Monday, Aug. 12, until the 1 p.m. time of service with Pastor AC Mann and Adam Donahue officiating. Interment will follow in the Maplewood Cemetery in Kingwood.
