John Taylor

John Dent Taylor, 80, of Herring, W.Va., went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Preston Memorial Hospital in Kingwood.

He was born in Masontown, W.Va., on Dec. 23, 1943, a son of the late Emily Demoin and Vivian Agnes Taylor.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by an infant son, Gregory Scott Taylor; four brothers, Vance “Pete” Taylor, Dennis Taylor, Joseph Taylor and Sunday Taylor Sr.; two sisters, Wilma Gamble and Velma “Sissy” Taylor.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, W.Va. from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, July 13 and from 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 14 until the 1:30 p.m. time of service with the Rev. Mike Harriman officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
