Beverly Huffman

Beverly Anne Huffman, 66, of Aurora, passed away at Ruby Memorial Hospital on Saturday, June 15, 2024, with family by her side.

She was born Nov. 13, 1957, in Sutton, a daughter of the late Virgil Anderson and Delma Louise (George) Miller.

Beverly worked at the Sterling chicken plant until its closing. After, she worked at various small restaurants, cleaned homes for community members, becoming a caregiver to her Aunt Wilma and being the “Community Mom” to many kids.

Beverly enjoyed fishing, canning, sewing and going all over town, including Christian Crossings with Linda Huffman. She loved her kitties and spending time with family. Her favorite thing to do was play UNO with her granddaughter.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Homer C. Huffman Jr.; son, Homer C. “Bucky” Huffman III and wife, Heidi; granddaughter, Natalie Kay Huffman; four siblings, Don Miller and companion, Peggy Ball, Steve Miller and wife, Elaine McCarty, Irene Robison and husband, Mitch and Janie Wagoner and husband, Randy; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Kay Baughman; brother, Kermit Ray Miller; sister-in-law, Sheri Miller; aunt and uncle, Wilma and Carl Jenkins; mother and father-in-law, Bertha (Hixenbaugh) and Homer C. Huffman Sr.; and her best friends, Maxine Moats and Evona Moats.

Friends may call at the Aurora Memorial Building, 24084 George Washington Highway, Aurora, WV 26705, from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, and from 10 a.m. on Friday, June 21, until the 11 a.m. time of service with Pastor Mike Bernard officiating. Interment will be held at the Aurora Cemetery.
