Three visionary executives inducted into West Virginia Business Hall of Fame

The West Virginia Business Hall of Fame has chosen three accomplished leaders in adventure tourism, insurance and human resources as inductees into its 2024 class:

Dave Arnold — founder and senior vice president of public relations and strategic partnerships, Adventures on the Gorge;

Thomas J. “TJ” Obrokta Jr. — president and chief executive officer, Encova Insurance;

Diane Strong-Treister — president and franchise owner, Manpower of WV.

This year’s inductees continue the tradition of exemplifying West Virginia values as they have pioneered meaningful change in their respective industries.

“The integrity of leadership is of utmost importance in building successful businesses,” said Pat Graney III, chair of the West Virginia Business Hall of Fame. “Our three newest inductees set the highest standard for character in their professional and personal endeavors, and we are proud to have them represent the best of West Virginia’s business success stories. They have each championed unique business visions that will leave a lasting mark on their industries.”

The West Virginia Business Hall of Fame is hosted by the John Chambers College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University. The induction ceremony is held annually in partnership with the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting and Business Summit.

Over the past 23 years, 83 business leaders across a wide variety of industries have been inducted into the West Virginia Business Hall of Fame, all united by their professional success, their commitment to their communities and their West Virginia ties.

The inductees will be honored on Aug. 27 at a ceremony for invited guests at The Greenbrier Resort in Lewisburg.
