Donald Gilbert Walker, 88, of Warren, Ohio passed away on June 7, 2024.
He was born on May 15, 1936, to Muriel Walker and was raised by his grandparents, Eddie and Leiugania Dooms in Morgantown.
In 1966, he married Eglociree “Sis” Smith and later had two children, Yvonne Walker and Anthony “Tony” Walker. After moving from Morgantown to Ohio, Don worked for General Electric for 35.5 years until he retired in 2000.
Don was predeceased by his grandparents, Eddie and Leiugania Dooms; his mother, Muriel; and a brother, Richard Walker.
He is survived by his wife, Sis Walker; daughter, Yvonne; son, Tony (Jennifer) and their three children, Sierra, Xavier and Samantha; four siblings, Glenn Walker Jr., Eugene Walker, Floyd Walker and Charles Walker; and cousins, Sharron Shelton, Anita Shelton-Strangeways, Annalee Stevens, Donna Rae Pitts and Norma L. Beasley.
Services will take place at the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home in Warren, Ohio at 4 p.m. on June 14, 2024. Graveside burial will take place at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 17 at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Morgantown.
