Norma Rohozen

Norma Jean Keener Rohozen, 73, of Morgantown, passed away at Ruby Memorial Hospital on Sunday, April 14, 2024.  

She was the daughter of the late Wilbert Otis Keener and Marion Shisler Keener.  

Norma graduated from Morgantown High School in 1968, later becoming the office manager for Amedisys Hospice.  

She was a member of St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, where she sang in the choir. Among many other things, Norma especially loved cooking and baking.  

Norma is survived by her husband of 53 years, John Rohozen Jr.; son, Jan Jacob Rohozen (Michelle); grandchildren, Quinton and Garrett Rohozen; siblings, Shirley (Raymond) Corwin, Ronald Keener and Karen Sue Guminey (Robert); as well as several nieces and nephews.  

In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by siblings, Roberta Corwin, Paul E. Keener, JoAnn Rockis, Darrell Keener and James Keener.  

Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 2 p.m. until the time of Panachida at 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 21. Visitation will continue at St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, 19 West Park Ave., Westover, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 22, with the Rev. Fr. Thomas Slosky officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, 19 West Park Ave., Westover, WV 26501.
