West Virginia Caring invites the community to attend the North Preston Health Fair from 7-10 a.m. April 20 at the Bruceton Volunteer Fire Department in Bruceton Mills. This health fair will provide an opportunity to take advantage of screenings and advice to assess their medical health and prevent illness.
There will be a variety of screenings through a blood draw for low fees including: Multiphasic panel, $35; PSA, $23; CA 125, $16; B12 and folate $15; hemoglobin A1c, $16; thyroid panel (TSH, T3 and T4), $25; Vitamin D, $26; Hepatitis B & C, $10; testosterone, free; and total, $20; and estradiol $15. To schedule your appointment and the tests you need, call WV Caring at 304-864-0884 and ask for Jessica.
Bonnie’s Bus will return. It has state-of-the-art mammography offering 3-D digital mammograms and breast care education to women. This is a service of WVU Healthcare and the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center. The mammograms are billed to insurance, Medicaid, or Medicare if available. Mammograms for women who do not have insurance will be covered by the West Virginia Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program or through special grant funds. A physician’s order is needed for a mammogram.
WV Caring is sponsoring this event with the Bruceton-Brandonville VFD. WV Caring is in need of nurses to assist with blood draws.
