Betty Rohozen

Betty Lou Rohozen, 90, of Morgantown, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, after a short battle with cancer.

She was the daughter of the late Grethel (Kiger) and Dennis “Mitt” Wilson.\

Betty graduated from Clay-Battelle High School in 1952. She worked at Murphy’s Department Store, where she met her future husband. Later, she worked at Sterling Faucet/Kohler in Sabraton for 27 years until her retirement. She enjoyed puzzles, gardening and canning with her husband. Betty was dedicated to her family. She had close, supporting relationships with her husband and children. She was always there to help take care of her grandchildren and grandcats. She played an integral role in their lives and all developed a special relationship with her. She was an avid Mountaineer, Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan. Sports also gave her the opportunity to spend time with her family. She cheered on her son, daughters, granddaughter, grandsons and great-grandsons from the stands.

Betty was an active member of St. Mary’s Orthodox Church. Over her many years of support, she served as treasurer and trustee and participated in the Ladies Guild.

She will be sadly missed by her family. Her sister, Linda Metz, her son, Michael Rohozen (Kim), her daughters, Michelle Berry (John) and Marsha Rohozen, her grandchildren, Brittany (Nick) Miller, Tyler Berry (Kailey), Jacob and Seth Rohozen, and Jessica (Steven) Shaw, her great-grandchildren, Owen and Samuel Miller, Emily and Xander Shaw, nephew, John (Norma) Rohozen and many other family members.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Mike Rohozen; her brothers, William (Marge) and Clyde (Barbara) Wilson; her sisters, Anna (Arthur) Hughes and Norma (Albert) Daris.

Thank you to the entire staff at Madison Center and the Mon Health Medical Cancer Infusion Center for the wonderful care, support and kindness they provided.
