Dottie A. Geer, 84, of Parkersburg, passed away Feb. 25, 2024, at her residence under the loving care of her family and Amedisys Hospice.
She was born on Feb. 12, 1940, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Ted and Virgie Adkins Mullins.
Dottie was a lifelong member of North Parkersburg Baptist Church where she was active with the Friendship Kitchen and had served as assistant secretary for several years.
Surviving Dottie is son, Mark F. Geer (Monica); daughter, Traci A. Geer Norman; grandson, Brandon L. Geer (Sheena); granddaughter, Fallon S. Geer Sarginger (Fred); granddaughter, Bianca I. Norman; great-grandsons, Hendrix Geer, Kingston Geer; sister, Betty Jo Glenndenning (Larry); and several beloved extended family members and friends.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Rod” Geer; her brother, Ralph Mullins; and sister, Vina Mae Rogers.
The funeral services will be held at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 29, with Pastor Mike Towner officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28, and for one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Wood County Society.
