The Monongalia Arts Center has announced its programming schedule for the first half of 2024, including kids’ summer camps.
Dedicated to bringing fun, affordable arts and creativity to the local community, MAC’s lineup offers adult and kids’ classes for every artistic level. Weekly workshops and one-off classes include photography, painting, watercolor and acrylics, Valentine’s Day activities to do solo or with that special someone, Easter designs, dance classes and more.
The MAC is also launching weeklong art camps in June and July for ages 7-13. These fully supervised half-day sessions are scheduled to be held in the MAC art studio.
“A year after reopening our doors, we are excited to launch more diverse programming to help elevate Mon County’s vibrant art community,” said Aldona Bird, programming coordinator. “We encourage artists, creatives, designers, parents and families to make the MAC their creative home. Sign up for classes and camps and attend one of our upcoming shows. There’s something for everyone.”
Established in 1978, the MAC is located in the restored historic post office building, 107 High St., Morgantown. As a dynamic, community-driven nonprofit in Monongalia County, the MAC offers a home for visual, performing, and literary arts — serving as the community’s local museum, theater, arts education and cultural center.
