Lillian Jenkins

Lillian Marie Jenkins, age 82, of Independence, passed away Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023. She was born on Aug. 26, 1941, in Masontown, a daughter of Dallas and Gertrude (Taylor) Shaffer, and wife of the late Clyde “Fred” Jenkins, they were married for 60 years.

Lillian worked at the Shirt Factory, Sterling Faucet, and Camp Dawson during her life. Some of her favorite things to do included cooking for her family, hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with her many grandchildren.

Lillian was always eager to deliver her delicious homemade meals in times of need for her family, friends and the community. The past few years she loved front porch sitting, watching her birds, wildlife and the blooming flowers. Many would have often seen her at her favorite stomping grounds; the Kingwood Wal-Mart or Monroe’s with her niece and very special friend Jeannie Wagner.

Survived by two sons, Chris Jenkins and Natalie of Independence, Clyde Jenkins and Barb, of Masontown; eight grandchildren, Shane Jenkins and Ashley, Jeremy Jenkins and Ashley, Nathaniel Hebb and Brittney, Sierra Hebb and Jesse Workman, MaLissa Fulk, Rebecca McBee and Jeremy Terry, Jeff Fulk II and Holli, and Dallas Jenkins; one sister, Dori Hovatter; one sister-in-law, Cathy Shaffer.

In addition to her husband, Clyde “Fred” Jenkins, she preceded in death by; one daughter, Deborah Ridenour; one granddaughter, Christina Terry; one daughter-in-law, Denise Jenkins; one brother, Herbert Shaffer; and one sister, Peg Cress.

Friends may call at the Morgan Funeral Home Reedsville, from 3 p.m. on Wednesday Dec. 20, until the 6 p.m. time of funeral services with Pastor Chris Baker.
