John Wayne Hannah Sr., 74, of Buckeye, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023, at Pocahontas Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 25, 1949, in Waynesburg, Pa., he was a son of the late James Kirk and Elinor Stoneking Hannah. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Mae Gower, and a brother, James (Butch) Hannah.
John was a United States Air Force Veteran, a retired coal miner and a loving father, brother, and grandfather.
John is survived by a companion, Charlotte Ratliff; daughter, Deena Hannah and her husband Scott Luton of Cumming, Ga.; son, John Wayne Hannah Jr. and his wife Trisha of Beaver, Pa.; grandchildren, Natalie Hannah, and Amelia Hannah; brothers, Thomas Hannah of Scenery Hill, Pa., and Kevin Hannah of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Dec. 12, at Lantz Funeral Home in Buckeye.
