Barbara Harvey

Barbara Sue Harvey, age 79, passed away on Nov. 8, 2023, in her hometown of Morgantown. Born on Sept. 25, 1944, to Lucille Clawson Stanley and Emory Stanley.

Barbara’s greatest joy was found in the company of her family. She was preceded in death by her adoring husband, Oliver Harvey Sr.; their loving son, Patrick Allen Harvey; her brother, Ronald Stanley; and her sisters, Pauline and Mert Stanley.
Her love and inspiring spirit will carry on in the hearts of her surviving family, her daughter, Rebecca Sue Horvwalt; her grandchildren, Patrick Darrein Harvey, Alexander James Harvey, Jesse Eugene Hickman, Sammy Michael Horvwalt, Michaela Marie Horvwalt; and her great-grandchildren, JB Snyder Jr. and Oliver James Harvey. Barbara also greatly cherished her many nieces and nephews, especially her special nephew, Joshua Luzader.

As a food service worker at WVU Hospitals and later the Morgantown Veterinary Clinic, Barbara served her community with passion and dedication. Her commitment to service was second only to her unwavering love for her family. She lived her life radiating positivity and left an indelible mark on everyone she met.

She had an innate talent for sewing, knitting, and crocheting, creating timeless keepsakes for her loved ones. She also enjoyed cooking, fishing, and spending time with her family.
Her absence leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved her. She was very incredibility loved and will be greatly missed.

Friends and family are invited to gather at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home from 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, until the time of service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Barbara will be laid to rest at Bethel Cemetery along side her husband.
