Mildred Parker

Mildred Irene Parker, 97, of Crossroads Community, Fairview, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023, at her residence.

She was born Feb. 7, 1926, at Cassville, a daughter of the late O. E. “Red” Seaman and Hazel Hamilton Seaman.

Millie was a homemaker. She previously was an Avon saleslady and a volunteer at Mason-Dixon Elementary School. She was a member of Bula Baptist Church and she loved to attend the Bula Baptist Women’s Bible Study group each week.

Surviving are her great-niece and her husband, Sherry and David (Butch) Patterson, who had been looking after Millie for many years; two sisters-in-law, Amy Seaman of Core, and Janet Vaugh Parker; and various other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Parker, who died Sept. 17, 2001; one sister, Norma Jean Tuttle, who died Aug. 27, 2023; and two brothers, Bill Seaman and Bud Seaman.

A graveside service will be held at the Olive Cemetery at Pentress at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov., 4, with Pastor Drew Reveal officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery.

The Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, is in charge of arrangements.
