Cynthia Lynn Cunningham, 61, (formerly Carte) of Bacliff, Texas (formerly of Morgantown), left this world on Oct. 7, 2023. She was born Feb. 5, 1962, a free spirit who lived life on her own terms.
She loved her family, friends and coworkers passionately and was well-loved by them in turn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Cunningham; her mother, Linda Carte (formerly Smith), and her father, James A. Carte.
She is survived by her brother, Greg Carte; her sister, Tina Carte; sister-in-law, Cathie Falvey; and niece, Emma Carte.
She was well-cared for at the home of her wonderful friend, Larry Jones, as she received hospice care while navigating the many stages of lung cancer. She was visited often by many loving friends, including Maria and her daughter, Andrea, as well as Elaine, Aliya and Cynthia during her illness.
While all hospice staff were wonderful, her first hospice nurse, Shandi, was particularly kind and Cindy thought the world of her.
Cindy’s kindness to others and her deep love of all animals (but cats in particular) were unparalleled. She will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. There will be no service.
