Robert Isaac Bonar, Sr., age 92, of Falls Church, Va., formerly of Morgantown and Cameron, passed away Wednesday, Octo. 18, 2023, at Goodwin House Bailey’s Crossroads, Falls Church, Va.
He was born July 25, 1931, in Cameron, the son of the late Raymond and Hannah Truax Bonar.
Robert was a retired Land Lease and Right of Way agent for Columbia Gas Company.
He was a member of Cameron Lodge #17 A.F. & A.M. where he was twice Past Master and a 32nd Degree Mason with the Scottish Rite; and was a member of the First Christian Church of Cameron.
Robert was an avid hunter and fisherman in his younger years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Patricia Ann “Patty’ Bonar.
Survivors include his son, Robert “Bob” Bonar, Jr. of Fairfax Station, Va.; and two grandsons, Aaron M. and Patrick C. Bonar.
Family will receive friends at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville, from 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 22, until the time of the service at 3 p.m. with Pastor Rodney Hubbs officiating.
Entombment in Riverview Cemetery Mausoleum, Moundsville.
